"It's kind of short, Grandma."

"It's kind of short, Grandma."
My answer was, "Yep."

She had a friend chop her hair off, against her mother's firm wishes. This caused a big uproar at her house. There is no exaggerating how terrible her hair looked (think "styling by chainsaw"). So, after she wore it that way to school for a few days, I took her to a salon and had it cut all the way off to start over again. In the car, the magnitude of her defiance finally dawned on her.

Well, live and learn, girl! : b

Haha, we used to call that style Kochtopf- put a pot on your head and snip off all hair that shows;-)
My little sister once played hairdresser with a neighbour girl: they washed their hair in a puddle on the street and used yeast dough for shampoo....my mother cried for her lost cake;-)

Oh yes, like an Amish boy. That was a farm style here a long time ago. Ugh, yeast dough for shampoo! What a mess!

Haha - well, this girl learns the hard way, always. As my grandpa used to say, she's a pistol!
