This is photos from the trail to one of Norway's most visited natural tourist attraction. The visitor number in the last two years was around 250000. The intention of this album is to show potential visitor what to expect when doing this trip. The photos are placed in a chronological order so you can follow me on this trip. As you can see, good shoes and some stamina is strongly recommended when doing this trip. This region of Norway is one of the wettest, so the dry conditions you see here is unusual. When wet, these rocks will be slippy. Numerous tourist are getting hurt when doing this trip every year. Last year, four tourists had to be airlifted out of the area with a helicopter on four separate incidents in one day. It is mostly foreign tourist who ends up with problems. This may be because of bad shoes, lack of experience with such terrain and poor stamina. If you use hiking footwear, good hiking clothes, watch your steps and have a OK stamina, then this will be a nice trip for you. Of course, getting to the cliff of Preikestolen is the goal and highlight. I hope you find this album useful if you plan to do a trip here. If you have read this far, here is a short documentary about preikestolen (in Norwagian):
