A heart for the shapes project. I have just had a glass of wine on an empty stomach. I can not recommend this.

Outside there is beautiful weather and I had today had a ticket for a balloon ride. Instead, I improvise some picture of the day and hang around. :(

For the 10 Week Picture Project: TREES Week 5: Tree Bark Birch trees are my favorite.

If you wonder how the big tree is grown in such an unusual way you have to know that it is a very old one. Since the Middle Ages the forest was used to give firewood to the people. In march they cut the branches of the trees two meters above the ground and let them grow again. (The two meters were important because of the cattles and sheep who would eat the fresh green twigs if they can get them.) The german word for this trees is "Kopfbuche" and means Headed Beech because of the thick bark. I love to walk through this forest with its fairytale like trees. In the place you can see here one minute after I took this picture a grandma and a grandpa with their grandchildren came along. Grandma and grandpa hide out behind the big tree and played with the kids. That made me smile. One thing that I saw only on the computer was the little heart in the bark of the other tree. I´m not sure you can see it in small ipernity version. Have a good week my friends and find some space to relax!

Erst habe ich überlegt etwas unter dem Mikroskop zu fotografieren. Dann habe ich mich aber doch für das Makro-Objektiv entschieden. Es kann bis zum Maßstab 1:1 abbilden. Ich habe also diese Einstellung gewählt und im Gegensatz zu sonst das Objekt in den Schärfenbereich bewegt. Darum sieht man die Münze auch nicht ganz, denn ich wollte ja so nah ran wie möglich. Es handelt sich um eine dänische Krone. Als ich 14 war, fuhr ich mit anderen Jugendlichen auf eine Ferienfreizeit nach Dänemark. Ich trug diese Münze lange als Erinnerung an einer Kette. (Praktisch, dass sie ein Loch in der Mitte hat.) Es ist bis heute eine meiner Lieblingsmünzen, denn welches Geld hat schon Herzen und so schöne Kringel in der Prägung? (As close as you can get.
