A beautiful specimen...
The "Lummenfelsen" (Lummen cliff) is one of the attractions of Heligoland on which thousands of sea birds brood. It's also the smallest nature reserve in Germany.

UN BEAU SPECIMEN. Le "Lummenfelsen" (rocher de Lummen) est l'une des attractions de Helgoland, sur laquelle des milliers d'oiseaux de mer nichent. C'est aussi la plus petite réserve naturelle d'Allemagne.

EIN SCHÖNES EXEMPLAR. Zu Helgolands Attraktionen zählt der Lummenfelsen, auf dem tausende Seevögel brüten. Er ist zugleich das kleinste Naturschutzgebiet Deutschlands.

Ein wundervolles Motiv, Christa, du hast Dir also mal Helgoland zu Gemühte geführt! War es sehr voll? Teuer ist es sowieso ;)

Ja, Helgoland war eine Reise wert, trotz der vielen Leute, vor allem bei DEM tollen Sommerwetter (anscheinend eher eine Ausnahme dort). Etwas teurer als woanders war es auch, aber das ist ja normal, die müssen alles vom Festland kommen lassen (knapp 2,5 Std mit dem Schiff), dafür aber kann man viele Sachen "duty-free" einkaufen, da Helgoland nicht von der deutschen Mwst. betroffen ist. Exactly: the gull was sitting there without moving, all passing people took a photo from it, as if it was conscious to be a model;-))

Jaap, there are thousands of sea birds on these cliffs, it is really impressive. This one just "expected" to be taken on photo;-)

Danke Wilhelm, im Hintergrund sieht man den "Lummenfelsen", da nisten tausende von Seevögeln auf den roten Felsen von Helgoland.

Danke Edna. Das ist eine gute Idee, von Cuxhaven geht's mehrmals täglich rüber und wieder zurück (so um die 4 Std. Fahrt hin und zurück). Helgoland kann man gut an einem Tag besichtigen und interessant ist auch der Einkauf : alles ist duty-free!
