Herbst in der Fuggerstadt - Autumn in the Fugger-City
➽ NOT The Sunday Challenge - "ROOF LINES"
____________________
➽ In the late 1990s about 1,300 investors invested in the Augsburger "Fuggerstadt-Center" (Augsburg is also called "Fugger city", because the well-known merchant family Fugger lived here). The "Fuggerstadt-Center" was opened in 1999. It grew out of a former post ruin which was vacant for many years and should attract up to 50,000 visitors per day.
The "Fuggerstadt-Center" considered itself as Swabia's biggest "Urban Entertainment Center". It has over 35 000 square meters of surface and a branch mix of entertainment, retail, sports and dinning business. Shopping enjoyment and leisure fun were here under one roof: Coffee bar, cinema, hairdresser, disco, restaurants, bowling, etc. (PiPs) There were also office and commercial space.
But the plan didn't work out - the rents were calculated too high and increasingly more and more shops didn't pay the full rent or left the Center. As a result, also the customers stayed away. In February 2012, bankruptcy was filed and the last shops closed during the next years. Since summer of 2015 there is a new investor and reconstruction works were begun. Source: Augsburg-Wiki

Gudrun club has replied to Dida From Augsburg clubDida From Augsburg club has replied to Gudrun clubUnter dem Dach, das man vorne rechts sieht, ist gleich der nächste Fall - Victoria-Passage!

Dida From Augsburg club has replied to cammino clubJa, solche Investmentprojekte hat jede Stadt.
