Quelle: Mittelbayerische

➽ Usually the colored padlocks (PiP),, which couples vow to love and loyalty, are the eye-catcher, but now the Iron Bridge will be a garden! Activists of the Transition Town initiative Regensburg hang over 200 flower pots on the parapet.
Flowers, but also many herbs and crops such as basil, tomatoes and potatoes - planted in empty beer kegs or old Tetra Packs - are attached to the bridge railing. Some of the activists had pulled the plants themselves, others were donated by various garden centers and hardware stores. Source: Mittelbayerische newspaper

Oh my! Even potatoes! What will people attach there next? Marijuana pots? Photographs? Nice little "sacrificial altars" perhaps? Oh, and what would be appropriate thing to hang there if a couple divorces? Mittens?

hahaha - a bit of weed, not a bad idea! ;-DD

For the potatoes there's even a planting instructions on the bridge and perhaps a bolt cutter should be installed for divorcing couples! ;-DD

Many thanks for the star, Sami! :))

... looks nice indeed, question is how long the railing will be able to cope with the additional weight.

Lieben Dank für den Stern, Uwe und LG,

I love that idea! Besides, those locks are old news (except for the skull one).

I would also prefer to see more plants than love locks!
