Primrose Hill

At about half way of our stroll along the Regent's canal in London, we stopped for a while to see Primrose Hill park nearby and rest for a while. Here we are approaching the hilltop from where almost all London can be seen.
A mine in paradise

The beach of Funtanamare, in south westerly Sardinia.
Just at right of this lovely beach there was a mine, now closed. This was the pipe which discharged the washing water of the ore into the sea.

Sadali
This is again Sadali a small town in the central mountains of Sardinia.
Generally I seldom visit this part of the island which in my view has no interest. I am an incurable worshipper of the sea. But that time I had a good motive to go there: the municipality of Sadali had organized a photographic contest. I had sent my digital photo by email to them and I had been selected for the final prize. Ten people had been chosen out of about 300 participants and they were invited to the town to know the first three winners and participate to the party.
I didn’t win but it was satisfactory anyway to have been selected among so many participants.
I had never been before there and I was surprised to find a nice and interesting old town perched among the mountains and green with trees.
Sadali suffered from a strong emigration and very few people still live there. They are trying to promote tourism and the photographic contest and the following exhibition were part of this promotion.
A Floating garden
Little Venice looks like a floating garden with all the narrow boats covered with flowers vases. This shows the tastes and life style of the people living in those boats.
For basic info about Little Venice and Regent's Canal see the first photo posted in this album.

Old village house
This is taken in Sadali, a village in the mountains of central Sardinia.
A curious thing to be noticed: on the door there is painted a date: OK DDT 21.2,1950
That was due to the campaign against the malaria that the Americans (Rockfeller foundation) have done just after the war, spreading extensively DDT everywhere. Thanks to that malaria disappeared in Sardinia. They used to paint the date once they sprayed the insecticide.
Along the canal

Sorry, I'm not sure about this church. It appeared along the Regent's canal. It should be St Marks, in Prince Albert Rd, (see map link).
Calasetta Marina

Calasetta is a small fisherman town in the island of Sant'Antioco in south-westerly Sardinia, Recently it has become an attended destination for holiday makers for it's sandy beaches. A pleasure boats marina has been built near the fisherman harbour.

Evening at the golf course
This is again the Beckenham Place Park golf course in south London.
I had a lovely stroll there at dinner time, when almost nobody was there and the last sun rays illuminated the lawns.
There is a sense of majesty and beauty in old oak trees, at least for those who have eyes to see. No human creation can match this sense of natural beauty.
