HWW ~ Yorkshire walls
Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales is blessed by being surrounded by these old walls. Not that it stops any walkers as there are ample stiles and passing places to go from one field to another. As long as we don’t have mischievous dogs with us or are careless leaving fences open or damaging walls the farmers tolerate us. In my case, I just enjoy the fresh air, green fields and snap another HWW shot.

I've been there in 1977 and can say I loved the landscape. It was a bit complicated for me to drive the farmers car on the 'wrong' side of the narrow roads, I mostly I tried to shtift the gears with the wrong (right) hand....

Lots of this countryside is still the same as 1977. I can imagine the trouble driving here for you. I have the same problems when I drive in the EU.

Il n'y en a pas trop dans ma région, les sentiers longent les clôtures, ce qui n'empêche pas hélas certaines personnes indélicates d'ouvrir les barrières sans les refermer, pour couper à travers champ. Certains ont eu des surprises car quand le pré est vraiment grand et un peu vallonné, on ne voit pas forcément tout, et ils se sont retrouvés nez à nez avec des bovins :o)))
