A wonderful capture Herb..........the light is just amazing and you've composed the scene perfectly. The stream and the little wooden bridge are just lovely and the light dusting of snow has transformed the landscape into a very festive scene!

Ah, almost a Christmas card then Keith. I must admit to loving this sort of capture. The snow and light was great for a short few hours here and then rains.

Thanks a lot my friend. Yes I was lucky here. We have had two small snowfalls sine November but it did not last long. However I could bot move my car for 24 hours with the snow that fell at this time. I feel sorry for you, not seeing any snow, You will have to go back to your dear old Scotland to see some then.

As you say, this year was much warmer than usual. Last year we got -11 in the Harz, this year just a sprinkle...

Thanks Peter. It sounds like you are in the Harz for some time! A wonderful place as I know from my travels too. My mother used to ski there. Yes the snow was welcome but its gone back to dark grey, wet and cool again. Hopefully we will get some more snow in the New Year.

It seems to have been very cold with snow in a lot of the North end of the planet, Herb.
Here it is hot and dry. The snow looks enticing. Such a pretty scene too
