Rannoch Moor, re-visited
After passing through Glenn Coe on our way south, my next photo stop is Rannoch Moor. A flat basin surrounded by high hills in the distance. This is an isolated part of Scotland and is well known for its very cold temperatures in winter, making it a winter wonderland for stunning landscape photos. We are here in May and so we have a different set of colours around the waters edge of the many small lochans. As well as great views we also have the Scottish nuisance of biting midges.
I took some nice slides from around here in 1995. The PiP shows one of them.
