A touch of Autumn

A touch of Autumn
As my favourite photo time comes around again I am soon given an example of this season. A local walk to Walkerwood reservoir and here on our track sits a recently fallen Sycamore leaf with the strong sunlight spotlighting it.

Very well spotted Herb..........this is really beautiful. The light on the leaf is gorgeous and I like how it has made the leaf almost translucent. The details are lovely!

I have some sycamore leaves on my lawn at the moment, but not as beautiful as this. It looks like they have been poked upright into the earth. In actual fact this is how the worms drag them down underground to eat them!

Why the HWW in the title?

Great that you enjoyed this Keith as I know it is right up your alley. I saw this leaf from some distance away, with that lighting, on the upwards sloping waterworks road and imagined it being blown away before I got to it. No chance of worms dragging this down further.
~ The HFF - For my titles and descriptions I invariably research and type them-up some time before posting in a pre-set folder. This document must have started of as a HWW one and I had automatically left that first bit in, as well as the bottom line :) Ah well. Thanks for letting me know.

Now, in autumn, it is a lot of fun to go hiking in nature, with or without a camera.
It's wonderful that you had your camera with you. A very beautiful picture.

Best wishes, Günter
