Glen Shiel and Kintail

Glen Shiel and Kintail
As we head for Loch Cluanie we travel along this famous glen and see almost three of the five Sisters of Kintail. With ‘Sgurr Fhuaran’ being the pyramid type mountain backed by Beinn Bhuldhe with Sgurr nan Saighead to its right and Sgurr na Carnach to the left. They are all over 3000ft and so are classed as Munros. A very popular hiking and climbing area.

Thanks Keith. It was practically the best weather day of the whole holiday, even so it was bit milky. Glad you liked it.

Hi Dave and very pleased am I that you have taken to this. I too cannot pronounce those names. I presume they are Gaelic and up here there will be a few people who can still speak that.

I think I am already too old Francis but doubt that I would ever get the chance again. Maybe you might make the trip and climb in my place then. Good luck.

That's a cracking picture Herb. It's caught the scale of this place which is never easy.
