Not a good river for rafting I guess !

Good to see you again. In normal conditions it is good for canoeing I guess. It was very low on this occasion.

Incredible light on the almost dried up river bed.

Was very nice light indeed. Moments later the heavens opened up. A deeper part of the river ran to one side here.

Yes, it was the lowest I had seen it but I think it runs very shallow here anyway through the pebbles.

I'm guessing the water levels might have increased a bit due to the rain we've all had in the last week or two!

The light was everything here Keith. It rained heavy moments after taking this. A toss up as to post a more natural part of the rive which was quite deep or this. You see the outcome.
Yes, I guess it will be deeper now with all the rain.

Hi Rosa. In reality, we have not had much rain at all here in the NW. A few heavy showers in the preceding days but by enlarge the last couple of months have been very dry. Even more so in my own Oldham. Ironically there was a lot of rain in Oldham whilst we were up here near Carnforth. Glad you enjoyed this.

A beautiful light indeed, Herb, and I love the rocky bed of this river that reminds me of the Piave in my native valley in the Dolomites.
