High Power

High Power
Many years back now, I took a series of slides depicting our local elctricity National-Grid pylons and power-lines for one of my camera club competitions. After recently being reminded of how these scenes might look today, I eventually got around to venturing out in the freezing cold to take a few shots. The coloured versions looked OK but I liked this toned effect better. I also tried this just as a perfect square and with the power lines going across, you can see that in the PiP (adjacent photo), but I ended up with this as my favourite.

Essential full size on black :)

Gudrun, Weard Bültena, Ulrich John, cammino and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ok have replaced that one now with a higher definition version and full public. Did you like the coloured version better too, and what about the direction of lines?

Hi Herb like both but like the square and horizontal lines best.

Not sure if I have a preference, I see merits in both versions Herb. I just appreciate the idea and the degree of difficulty in getting the shot.

Thanks for this feedback Maurice. Such subjects as this will always be a bit controversial.
Have a great weekend. Herb
