While I came down with the Flu my brother in law had a big project to take down and rebuild a 8m x 6 m shed. I was not able to help with the demolition but he waited till i was able to help him rebuild. Three days work 12 hours a day then he can finish out on his own at his own pace. With this at your back you could not help but think you are in prison,

why I was missing from HFF this week building glass walls.

Pool fence

30 Dec 2022 18 35 164
You wonder why I was missing this week for HFF. I was building a fence myself. We had to take out this fence and a new base was put down over the whole ground that was 2 weeks ago. This Thursday and Friday all day was rebuild the whole lot. We had to contend with a very different sloping surface for drainage, bricks not plum, level or matching the one below and that inside the concrete was iron reinforcing mesh add to that this was 35c for the two days in this closed spot. Some 30 holes had to be drilled into the concrete we struck the reinforcing mesh in 10 of those hole. It was our suggestion keep the glass fence dont buy a new fence we will put it up. the glass is very heavy and not at all safe to pick up with sweaty hand. Rest day last day of 2022.

timegents.com/2019/11/18/fremantles-cleopatra-hotel While looks like a normal shot it is far from it. This is a 5 shot freehand vertical Panorama of the Building front. This is easy after years of taking Milky way bows. Clara and I thought we would go for a walk in Fremantle as we have not for years after we closed the Cafe .

The damage from pole fire.

17 Mar 2023 6 5 110
One of the few downsides to WA is the lack of rain and excess of dust. when we get very light showers (scotch mist) this only causes more problems of the water drops shorting out cause of the dust on the insulators. You only have to look at the roof of my garaged car to see the problem. First up was earth all the wires to the bottom of the Pole The next was remove the wires and cross piece Checking to see if the pole is sound inside In the shot you can see the burnt out hole in the pole Cut the damaged part off and recap the new top. Rebuild the whole thing and attach the wires. Remove all the earth wires and return on the wires In all it took about 2 hours from start till I had power in the house. One of the problems we face some of these fires have been much worse out on country farms All the more reason to think non wooden poles. We lost power for over 24 hours.
