They certainly are and it is quite amazing that it lives considering the get dried out completely over summer to a crisp and back to life in the winter rains.

Yes this is a very close up of the plant which would be no bigger than your small finger nail. The give away is the size of the moss around it. Even the insect is tiny as well. this is how the plant gets it fertilizer out in the rocks they are every where with this plant and just the moss. I thought it would add some interest to the group as most would never see them and even most people who live in WA as well.
