Chinamans point fences - HFF

Chinamans point fences - HFF
Cloud free forecast total cloud cover so I left my astro lens at home to save weight , so I had to use the 16-35mm F4 for a second time I am happy to say passed with flying colours. while I walked here( 15 min) from the motel to capture the Milky Way Bow in Black skies yes that close.

This is a shot that was taken for just one group in mind I would have never taken this shot before total have shunned it. the lighting is provided by kalbarri town ship behind me and the stars all around.

enjoy a clouded night in the mid west. Note the Zodiacal light on the left hand side of the Milky Way.

This must be one of the most wonderful HFF scenes that I have ever seen Steve. Mind-blowing in its expanse. To get the fence and the subtleties of a Milky Way bow at the same time takes some doing -I know, I have tried (and failed). As Toz says, amazing full size on black. Very well done. ☼ of course.

HFF enjoy your weekend, Herb

Many thanks a shot I would never have taken but fitted in so well with this group how could I resist. I just shows you need to be prepared as you just never know what you will find. This looks stunning on 55" TV believe me I need a screen like that for the computer but great background on the 25" screen.

none of yours have failed they just have been complicated by the light environment much like me shooting over Perth. It does show the value of searching out the "black" if you get the chance. no been a good year but this might be the way to finish on a good note. a few more to come from the trip. HFF all the best from down under.

I don't know the figures of course.... but light hitting your eye from the fence....
may take a billionth of a second.... light from the Milky way stars might take 10.000 years, all in the same frame.............. just a thought.
Do have another HFF............ Cheers from Dave.

And ADD these facts 200 second of shot time over the 8 frames that make this total shot and 20 min on the computer. yes light travels 186 thousand mile a second but who are we to count them, just enjoy them like this.

add just a little knowledge and a willingness to try. wont find many like this thats for sure. HFF as well to you.
