Kimba Milky Way @ full moon

Kimba Milky Way @ full moon
cloud free showed me I was never going to get a shot as it would be blanket of clouds so I left my Astro lens at home to save weight. I had a very small window of dark but the bus Driver did not want to stop till we got the Kimba road house. Astro @ full moon is not at all good but the milky way is there look above the sign you can see the Southern Cross and the pointers big part of the milky way.

Yes DJ it shows the predicted cover on a 5 day period it is usually very accurate but I already know the Australian night skies burns off clouds very well. I am sitting on the 5-6 as my next possible Astro shoot so watching the forecast and cloud free to see if they match sadly so far they do.

I like this Steve. Only in your part of the world could you get such star brilliance whilst at the same time under a full moon and be in proximity of street lighting.

There is no light pollution out here what so even just the wrong time of the month to get a full moon. not even the very strong lights from the road house could have killed it. It was quite unfortunate i would have loved this on a dark night every thing would have showed brilliantly and no need for LLL at all.

We would be lucky to get such shots! It's still very good for all the light coming from the truck stop and the moon.

In this shot the moon is the killer the truck stop is just foreground lighting on the right night make for a stunning show out here Pitch black no light pollution not even this small stop. you also can see a little of last sunlight in the shot as we where following the setting sun
