As i said it was hard to put them together when i came down to it so it was lucky to start with a big background . in part why i also did the bow to get the background for this shot. your turn next .

Well Steve, not only did you manage a full eclipse journey but in what style! Your planning and night out was certainly worth it. A compilation here to be proud off. Great to see all these stages and the background suits to a tee. Very Big Star, Herb

Herb its good to get the photos but its always good to get help and in this case i was happy to get the help and take notes. Pieter was one of my best finds a true night owl and like me keen as mustard with as whole different field of knowledge as well put together a good team.
This is only 2/3 of the eclipse as it was far too expensive on old batteries so i had to leave the last part but i am happy with just these two stages.

Peter a shot from my bucket list of want to do. you or i can not do this with a camera this is all photo shop a program i dont understand. i am lucky my night partner is an expert. i watch made notes took me 2 hours and two goes and this is the result. it will be a while before this comes down from my screen as background. as an old film person Photoshop is a program that is to make photos appear what they are not making the shooter lazy or not even honest with a picture but i believe it has its place for shots like these. you are looking at 24 shots 15 of the moon from 51 i had to choose from and the 9 shots for the milky way background made in PTGui. for this it was worth learning.
