North Island Robin

North Island Robin
nzbirdsonline.org.nz/species/north-island-robin

my father was breaking ground to get the tiny bird closer, my boots are just out of view as i am sitting legs apart on wet ground to get closer. Birds a baptism of fire in the dark in the bush in the wilds there is no second chance or set up. any one who shoots birds will tell you small birds never sit still long enough. enjoy my first under real pressure.

, Herb Riddle, autofantasia, gezginruh and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

It was Danni of all my bird shoots this was the one that set me off and now why i have 150-600. although that lens would not work here the bird was too close. glad you like it.

Steve it is very satisfying to get this shot you dont get time to think you just have to trust yourself and your gear. the leg bands are a colour code for that bird in this case ylyl/blwh have only recently found that out as well. glad you looked full size it is quite a shot in the dark.

Steve, you simply need to click on Explore at the top of your screen next to your mailbox icon. Then on the next screen click on the What's Hot tab which sits underneath the search bar near the top of the screen ... and there you go, 18 pages of images with 27 on each to view and hopefully enjoy! :)
