Praying mantis

Praying mantis
Some visitors have said this is a stick insect. I think I must continue to say it is a mantis because of the triangular head and raptorial forelegs.

Therese is right, it is a stick phasma, not a praying mantis

I must disagree, Typo93. The triangular head and the form of the forelegs indicate it is actually a mantis. The enlarged abdomen is also a feature of mantids.
