A beautiful and large family!

Thank you, Typo93. I am afraid the large family size suggests that not many of them will survive.

Terrific shot and quiet a clutch of ducklings Ronald, are they all likely to survive or are there any predators in the water.

Ronald Losure club has replied to HappySnapper
Already one of them has been killed by some terrestrial predator. I found the baby on the shore this morning. If all twelve of them survived, in a few years we would be in big trouble.

Oh how cute, a hooded merganser mother with her flock of chicks on her back. Great shot! What a pity that one duckling already died. Terrific capture!!

Thank you very much, Ulrike. I think the whole family has gone somewhere else, maybe to my neighbor's pond.

A lovely shot Ronald. The babies are adorable, - and so many of them. Sad that one has already been lost though.

Thanks, Carol. I suppose they start out with so many planning for a tough beginning.
