Laut einer Sage lebt in der Moldau ein Wasserwesen (tschechisch: Vodnik, dt: Wassermann) namens Kabourek. Die Legende besagt, dass Kabourek nachts aus dem Wasser steigt und sich die an die Brücke (von der aus dieses Foto entstand) angehängten Liebesschlösser anschaut. Kabourek kann erkennen, ob es sich um echte Liebe handelt. Wenn nein, oder diese irgendwann zerbricht, öffnet er das Schloss und wirft es in die Moldau.
