Brønnøysund ist eine Stadt in der norwegischen Kommune Brønnøy.
Brønnøysund hat 4.648 Einwohner (1. Januar 2012) und ist Anlegestelle der Schiffe der Hurtigruten. Die Stadt liegt an der Küstenstraße Rv17, die Teil der Goldenen Route in der Mitte Norwegens ist. Außerdem verfügt sie über den Flughafen Brønnøysund.
In der Nähe der Stadt, auf der Insel Torget, liegt der Torghatten, ein Berg mit einem 35 Meter hohen und rund 160 Meter langen Loch - einer geraden und an beiden Enden offenen Höhle. Nach einer Sage ist dieses Loch von einem Pfeil des ungestümen Prinzen Hestmannes geschlagen worden. Man gelangt über einen Wanderweg mit Aussicht auf die Schärenlandschaft dorthin und kann es durchwandern.

Brønnøysund (Norwegian: [ˈbrœnnœʏˈsʉn] ( listen)) is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Brønnøy, Norway. It is also a former municipality in Nordland county. The village of Brønnøysund received town status in 2000. The city lies along the coast and is often called "the coastal town in the middle of Norway." Brønnøysund is also the regional center of Southern Helgeland. The 3.25-square-kilometre (800-acre) town has a population (2013) of 4,924; giving the town a population density of 1,515 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,920/sq mi)
