Old Boats at Annan Harbour at Low Tide

Old Boats at Annan Harbour at Low Tide
This is a fascinating area to explore, but Adrian didn't think so, so my time was limited here. I have included a video of what the site looked like 6 year ago. Not a lot has changed but these two boats have deteriorated.

Here is an example of what is planned for this area;

I wonder what your views are on that?

A very nicely composed main shot Amelia. I always fine pictures of old and abandoned vessels make interesting subjects. Thanks for the video.

All the best, Doug

A great find Amelia............the two boats have obviously been neglected over some time (as confirmed by your interesting video) but to my eye this actually makes them great photographic subject. I love the rust, the peeling paintwork, the rotting wood and you've captured it all in superb detail.

The close up image in the PiP is excellent............I can almost smell the mud!

It seems like the whole area is in for a facelift. It looks like an interesting scene which would certainly improve the look of the place and maybe make it a decent tourist attraction.

Like Keith I love the old boat, the rust, peeling paint and the mud. You managed two great photos in the time you were allowed;-)
If they do the development carefully this could become an attraction, at least the plans look quite good- heritage, conservation....

I much prefer it to remain a backwater, Gudrun, as far as photography is concerned. But I can see the attraction. A bit too glossy to my mind though, and there is a lot to do. There are some old buildings that are just crumbling facades and the area is generally run down. www.ipernity.com/doc/1021409/51619404

I see what you mean with glossy:-) But lookig at the map I guess it will remain a backwater even with development.

Great images of these old boats, but if they don't start the development of the 'vision' soon, it will become too late - I wonder if finances are a limiting factor?
