The Epimedium leaves from last summer are very dull until the light shines through, Doug. It's a pity the new leaves aren't through the ground yet. Theye are really beautiful - on both sides.

Against the window the light really showed up the leaf structure, Wierd. I think that 'NOT The Sunday' challenge is dying unfortunately.

I didn't have to look far, Christel. Almost every leaf in the garden is heart-shaped, but this one on particular has excellent veins.

I find the transport systems in leaves quite amazing, Keith. These are very intricate, but not as beautiful as those of the poplar for example.

Some veining is better than others, Rosa. The best ones are from the dicotyledon herbaceous plants. ;-)

I have never heard of that name for this plant, Steve, so looked it up - and yes it is. Apparently it might be one of the ingredients of Viagra. Don't all rush at once to buy plants. ;-)

I love cyclamen plants, they are so delicate and fragile looking but they are very hardy. The Epimedium is an outstanding pic, that background is wonderful Amelia.
