[EN] Hello all, here is some fresh morning news:
- we are still working on scripts that will enable to import Flickr Albums. They will probably be available on Wednesday or Thursday.
- we are working with Jeffrey Friedl, well known guru from Lightroom users to create an export plug in to ipernity:)
- the ipernity application for Android should see the light of day by the end of July. We are also going to develop an application for Windows phone.
- we are fixing numerous bugs every day. Some take more time than others but rest assured that we are doing our utmost for them to be fixed.
- we have also started working on the project that will enable you to regroup your albums.
- there are many of you joining us every day and we are making every effort to accommodate you in the best possible conditions. Some congestion can still be expected but everything is under control :)
Everything is not perfect yet but the important thing is to move forward together over a long period of time towards a common project.
Catch you soon for more news...
The ipernity Team
When will be the ipernityUploader for Linux being ready which you announced in www.ipernity.com/blog/team/377252 during february 2012 to be "ready within the next few days or weeks"?
Or will you re-publicate the iperUpload which was a fork of flickrUpload and which was working here fine if you watch a few steps (but which binary I haven´t cause I paused at ipernity for a while and have to reinstall my system cause I had a headcrash)?
Or when you will be submit the sourcecode of ipernityUploader so everyone was able to compile it self for his system?
Well, you said in february 2012 that the ipernityUploader will be aviaible in the next few days or weeks so let me friendly ask you how long would be a french week compairing to a german one?
Or another question which would be a sneeky solution for this: When will be the web-uploader ready to submit an item to more than just a single album and when it will be possible to submit it to groups quite after uploading? Or add different tags to each item even if they are uploaded in a single batch? Or geotag them quite before the upload?
So it would be nice to do the work which was announced a long time ago for being ready in a few weeks before beginning on new tasks like importing albums from another site where it was already possible to import all the contend. If it was tagged proper before migrating it´s a case of a few minutes to put them to specific sets by the organizer (just tag every item of a set with the name of the set at flickr then search for all the tagged items here and put them in a new set. A work for - well - about 30 minutes...?
Well, I don´t want to fight against others but it began to get sad to view that it seemed like a group of user was flattered and cajoled cause they spend fresh money even if there was a workaround to get the same result and others seemed to forget during this.
There wasn´t any "workaround" for the Iperupload which you put down of your site - the web-uploader wasn´t a real one cause it missed much features if you would like to upload more than just a few items at once, and installing another system or buying a mac wasn´t one solution to upload more than a few items, too.
(and sorry, uploading by email was something - well - geeky, even as a linux-user)
OK, well.... now I need something more powerful than just a crossaint. Where are the steaks?
Iljuschin club has replied to ୱ Kiezkickerde ( ͡°… clubConcerning the flickr uplodr: Its GPL or (GNU?), so you can download the code and create your own, as ipernity did it. The ipernity API is quite the same as flickr´s, as it should be for a perfect clone. I do not like this code, but this is a personal opinion, I know.
I, for one, am really looking forward to being able to group my album. You guys are great!
Looking forward to the Android App. Best regards to you all!!
Bye,
Cameron
