A trip to mother's and trees
This morning the weather was much kinder than of late. We have another front due bringing strong winds with ice and snow possible. With this in mind I decided on a trip to see my old mam . Friday will be her 89th birthday but I have an appointment with the physio then so with tomorrows weather sent to be grim I went today. I didn't walk the whole way alighting from the bus around a mile short of her house and strolled the rest. The walk was pleasant enough if a little chilly with a cold westerly blowing in from the Irish Sea.
My youngest sister Paula and her fella Mat were there. It was good to see them because we don't meet up often. Mother is in good fettle and feeling relaxed because her monthly health check gave her the all clear and diabetes, blood pressure etc.
It was a good morning nattering away just a pity our sister Pat wasn't there but she is on a course of radio therapy at Preston, this is the second of 6 weeks.
Time to say my farewells and give mam early birthday greetings,I will phone her on the day before leaving to and the physiotherapist loose on my back. Back home to a lovely bowl of chicken soup with crusty bread feeling warm and snug listening to the increasing wind howling.
Here is my offer for the week 10 tree album. This is week 2, a group of trees. This group is in the park scrrening the lake and it makes a very peaceful place for lunch.

Wonderful photo.
Here it was mostly dry but down to 3 C with wind.
We've had hails storms here, so not good weather for a walk.
The photo is fabulous for the group of trees subject.
