A much calmer day here the wind is only gusting to 40mph now,a brief respite however because we have another big storm heading in tomorrow.
Lots of damage here on the island and over the bridge with roads closed due to fallen trees and damaged buildings but luckily no injuries reported.
There are still around 1,000 homes without power,overnight that
number was 17,000 but we were lucky and missed the cuts.
so today is clear up day around here and then wait for the next
storm.I'm off to check on a few neighbours to see if they need any
help, back soon for a catch up.
