Spring has arrived - well today at least.......

Today arrived with gorgeous blue skies and sun to go with it. It was lovely and warm for the first time in months. ..............

I decided to get out in the garden and see what's going on there.......... accompanied of course by two cats............



As you can see some daffodils have emerged from their sleep and in the sun they glowed a gorgeous gold.




The primroses have emerged from amongst the grass - just look at those hairy stems - not noticed that before........




Pippin absolutely loved lying about in the sun. He rolled over and over on the grass. He wasn't exactly elegant but to see him so relaxed and happy after hiding away indoors for the last couple of months was wonderful. Boo joined us but looked away in disgust as Pippin displayed himself to all and sundry while he rolled around......


There were some tiny blue and white flowers in a clump - I think I remember them being there last year. Don't know what they are but they are quite pretty....



The tulips in the pots are going to be out soon. I hope the display is like last years - it was stupendous. .......



As you can see the bluebells are all over the place. They should give a great display when they flower. There are even loads in amongst the lilac trees...


Finally the ivy is producing fruit - the birds love eating these - I wish they'd eat more so that the ivy won't keep growing all over everything. LOL

I sat outside for about 10 minutes with my face up to the sun - bliss. If it's like this tomorrow - I'm going to go for a drive. The car has at last started up after having the battery gone so low it took ages to charge it back up.
