As I've already mentioned - today is my son's 49th birthday! I don't feel old enough to have a son who's almost 50!!!!!! I know I am - because the memory of his birth is still strong in my mind. I can remember being ready to give birth for 17 hours and really just wanted a cup of tea and a sleep!!! Eventually at 01.15am on December 13th 1969, my son made his appearance. I also remember the nurses saying how he was born with his eyes open and he was watching everyone, and it was rather disconcerting having him turn his head to see what they were doing!!!! I'm very proud of my son, he's never given me any worries, (apart from the usual irritations that young children give you!) - he's studied hard and has worked hard. Now he's doing what he dreamt about when he was in his late teens. So he's studying again and from the looks of things - he will get the certificates he needs to be able to do the job he hankers for, obviously I hoping that he gets what he wants. Not only that, but as you know he's adopted two gorgeous children and they now call him Daddy. Not everyone can do that - so that is only evidence of what a great man he is.....

This is my favourite picture of him. Okay I know he should cut his hair, I've given up asking or even suggesting - he's his own man. So happy birthday sweetheart. I love you so much.
