I was invited to my cousin's wedding at the Maldives and for now, these are the wedding photos. The rest will come later when I have the time. It was a dream holiday!

I am preparing for my painting exhibition in Castellar from the 7th of September to the 5th October. If anyone is around here at these dates, please do not hesitate to visit. I will be there every afternoon except Mondays. I will be happy to meet you. Due to this, I won't have the time to put up photos, or to visit! So sorry about that. It's a pity that the photos are not in order, but let me say they are all impressions of the week I spent in Switzerland. We went to the Swis Alps . We had lunch at a revolving resturant in Shilthorn, where there was a panamora of 180 degrees of mountains including the highest like Yung Frau etc. Then we did a boat trip on the lake Thun which gives one a lovely idea of what it looks like around the lake. It's a personal decision, that I won't be doing much photography any more as I want to concentrate on my sculpture. So, my friends, so sorry about this. I will post photos now and again, but definately not every day. Thank you again to all my loyal friends that come and visit every day! I've just put in two new paintings in pastel. One is the flower Datura and the other is the water lilly pond in Val Rahmeh. Hope you like them.

I’m glad that I could show you a painting for the first newsletter this year. I am sorry that I took so long to send you this one, due to personal health problems. This is a portrait of Finn, a happy two year old belonging to the family. He has such a nice expression and I had to do him. I was just trying out photos in raw and in mono to see if they come out in colour on Lightroom! And to my surprise, they did! This is what you can learn in the group Photos and Pictures.

These will be part of the exhibition that I will be having from the 9th of May to the 15th of June. This will be held at the garden Jardin Botanique Exotique "Val Rahmeh" in Menton. I have created an album of all the paintings that will be exhibited there. These photos were taken a couple of years ago while I was visiting the yacht show in Monaco. Just a lot of money, money, money!

This is probably the most difficult portrait I have done. It was not done with a photo (I would have got a much better one!) but by looking at myself in the mirror. The difficulty is that one cannot paint any time. You have to choose the same time every day till it is finished as you have to try and get the same light.
