In 1976 Boz (William Royce) Scaggs composed "Lowdown", "Lido Shuffle" and "We're All Alone" for the "Silk Degrees" album. He used session musicians who would later form "Toto". The A side of the album's first single was "Lido Shuffle" and "We're All Alone" on the B Side. For some time Boz was guitarist and lead singer for The Steve Miller Band.
"Anytime, Anywhere" is the 1977 album that gave us Rita Coolidge singing "We're All Alone" and her top ten hit on both the pop and Adult Contemporary charts. Backstage at a Kris Kristofferson concert at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario during the seventies Rita sat calmly by herself as the spotlight was on Kris until the show began and Rita took the stage to shine.
