About Malachi O'Doherty

From: Muff, Co Donegal - hardly a city.

I work in a range of media. I started out in text as a journalist and still frequently write articles, mostly on Northern Irish politics and culture. I have written several books. I extended into radio, doing talks and reports and occasionally into television as a presenter and reporter. I now work visually through stills photography and occasionally combine photography with audio for slideshows.
I regard myself as a novice in photography. Of my own work I am most pleased with the portraiture.
