ALONG THE ANCIENT ROADS WE COULD FIND PLACES LIKE THIS TO STOP AND REST, MANY HAD A FOUNTAIN OR A TAP PROVIDING DRINKABLE WATER. WITH THE CONSTRUCTIONS OF NEW MODERN ROADS THESE ONES ARE MORE AND MORE ABANDONNED, ONLY USED LOCALLY.

Lockdown is over since Saturday and we could use all the benches, the village seems alive again after all these months. I publish this one as a reminder that unfortunately till we are all vaccined... I had my first jab last Friday and am scheduled for the second one May 28t. In the village almost all people had at least the first jab. Few younger people there, sadly, 73 people, only 18 under sixty-five y.o... Fortunately we act as center of activities for other poorly inhabited surrounding villages.

SADNESS... USUALLY THESE BENCHES HAVE OLD PEOPLE OF THE VILLAGE ENJOYING THE SUN...

ALMOST NIGHT... AND RAINING

CLOSE TO THE VASCÃO RIVER, ALL THE VILLAGE ENJOY BEING TOGETHER HERE ON FESTIVITIES, WE BRING FOOD AND DRINKS, WE CAN GRILL MEAT AND FISH... THIS LAST YEAR WE HAVE BEEN DEPRIVED AND SEEMS 2021 WILL BE THE SAME...
