Fava beans

De ton jardin Isabel??
j'en mangeais cru ,
j adorais les fèves, cru comme les petits poids, je n'en cultive pas
les fèves, l'on ne trouve pas bien les graines en semence chez nous
et le climat ne s'y prête pas .. les petits poids n'ont jamais réussi dans mon jardin

We know these as Broad Beans but to be honest I don't like them that much, so we've never attempted to grown any :-)

i do remember the famous quote by the character Hannibal Lecter in the movie Silence of the Lambs though........."I Ate His Liver With Some Fava Beans And A Nice Chianti." :-)))

LOL ! Fava beans are best when small (young), just steamed and peeled off, olive oil and balsamic vinagre cream. Delicious, did you try?
