this time I do not agree to much to some "promising" images, while I voted at least 4-5 from the excluded ones.........

may be my judgement was not so good..........but....... de gustibus

In my opinion, you should judge as you like and don't like, not to try and match other people's opinions. That's why we have multiple judges - we get a result not from everyone having the same opinion, but from the group as a whole.

It is good to remember that we only want stand out (very eye catching or very special in some way) images for this group. In the article that' Bernhard points to above, it says that the photos we want will

"arouse our curiosity by showing something unfamiliar or something familiar in a special way. They stimulate our imagination. They move us emotionally."

Keeping that in mind while voting is all you need to do.

Liebe Annemarie, mir geht es genauso wie Dir. Einige der ausgewählten Bilder hätte ich nie und nimmer in der Spitzengruppe erwartet. Aber wie Laura (raingirl) anmerkt, ist das völlig normal, weil wir alle unterschiedliche Vorlieben haben. Deshalb ist die Jury ja auch mit 10 Personen besetzt, denen ich für ihren allmonatlichen, ehrenamtlichen Einsatz danke.

Vor allem aber möchte ich den letzten Satz von Laura unterstreichen. Es geht nicht darum, die besten Bilder auszusuchen, sondern die zeigenswertesten.

I judge very much to my own convictions but agree that standards were lower this month, I do wonder if many of these poor quality images proposed by one person?

Leider ist das Gegenteil der Fall: Nur 3 Vorschlagende haben im Dezember mehr als 1 Bild eingereicht. Das Maximum lag bei nur 3 Vorschlägen (von 5 möglichen).

Ein Blick auf die Liste der Vorschlagenden zeigt allerdings, dass sich die "besseren" Fotografinnen und Fotografen im Dezember mit Vorschlägen mehr zurückgehalten haben.

Was wir alle tun könnten: Wenn uns besonders zeigenswerte Bilder in der Galerie auffallen, könnten wir die Fotografinnen oder Fotografen bitten, sie einzureichen.

I see the increasing number of weekly recurring images of certain groups, each reduced to a specific motif, as one of the main reasons for the decline of noteworthy images in the gallery.
I may be wrong, and my observation may provoke outrage, but on the whole I can trust my perception.
If this trend continues, I see no point in remaining in the group of noteworthy images, which I ask not to be taken as a threat.

Die Wiederkehr bestimmter Motive (Zäune, Bänke, etc.) in der Galerie ist eine andere Sache.

Hier bei den Ambassador-Bildern handelt es sich um Vorschläge, bei denen diese Motive eigentlich nicht oder sehr selten vorkommen.

Due to the growing number of weekly recurring themes, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable images for the Ambassador group in the ipernity Gallery.
Personally, I am now switching to other options, but even these are rather limited due to the state of many groups. Still, it's worth it …
