No I did not add saturation to this ... it was a bright day, and it's a colorful street.

One factor that could play into this is that older people may have dimmer vision due to cataracts. I know that when my father-in-law had his removed, he was astonished how much brighter the world had become....
It's a very pleasing and cheerful shot!
