We often moan about cars, but they don't take anything away from this pleasant street scene. Being red always helps! The Royal Hotel is a nice building. The right looks nicer than the left.
All the best, Rosa.

The island with the flowerbeds and the cross is Campbeltown's only roundabout. I can remember when the town had no roundabouts or traffic lights, and was Scotland's most popular town for sitting the driving test. I believe Tiree is now the best place in Scotland to sit the test. Thanks for your very kind comment, Rosa. Cheers, Joe

I took my driving test in Dorchester in 1971 and there was just one roundabout back then. I have to add that it was my 2nd test and I passed :-))

Surprisingly not many Joe, but I think Yeovil must be the roundabout capital of the UK! I took my first test there but it wasn't the roundabouts that did for me...it was my knocking knees! I doubt if anyone had ever stalled so many times. LOL!

I thought that was East Kilbride. It has so many roundabouts it is nicknamed Polo Mint City.

I like this shot and the hotel which is attractive in a four-square kind of way. You would sort of trust it to be clean and reasonable value just from its appearance!

Thanks for your very kind comment, Andy. I haven't stayed in the hotel, but I have had lunch in the 'Harbour View Grille'. Cheers, Joe
