This building now houses the local Heritage Centre, hosting exhibitions, events and activities related to the district's history.
I visited Uckfield for a model railway exhibition, on a Sunday. The Centre only opens on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so I could see inside it.

It is one of the buildings in this town that are on the Historic England list of buildings that have special historic or architectural interest. You can see its entry in the list at historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1028120?section=official-list-entry
I don't know whether you can see a translation into German. Historic England's list mainly gives architectural information for most buildings. Only the more important historic buildings get a fuller description. The photographs are often provided by amateur photographers, like me, on a voluntary basis.
