This is a cropped version of a long-distance photo, taken from the seafront at Seaford about a mile and a half away.

Thanks John. The waves and spray are frequently quite rough and ragged looking, so it was good to get one with a nice curl.

The sea goes where it wants ... that is scary seeing it come up to the height of the Lighthouse.

It isn't a very tall light house and the waves often are much taller. The coast here faces southwest straight down the English Channel and onwards to the Atlantic and the breakwater protects the Newhaven harbour entrance and our beach to some extent.
