A view of the 12.5kV/4160V transformer on the mountain line, retired after the rebuild to 12.5kV reached the park.
It now seems that as of November 19th, the conversion of the 2400V and 4160V distribution systems and the 22.9kV transmission line into one long 12.5kV/7200V Y circuit has been completed, the last section being the line along Waltonia Road.

The step-down now powering Hatfield. I really wish I'd hurried out that way when Justin told me of the old-style substation that once stood a few hundred yards south.
I wonder though, did they have a muni lineman on the crew???

The branch line after the old Hatfield sub was replaced. The addition of the tap going to the right was what caused the old sub to be replaced...

Multiple risers at a solar farm powering part of the 23.9kV system. If it wasn't for this, the old Hatfield sub would still be humming away.

Decided to make a quick safari into southwest Minnesota to check on some old stuff. First up was Jasper and this old corner pole: www.ipernity.com/doc/ndlinegeek/37284532
Interesting sign below the secondary - 'Warning - Primary and secondary neutral isolated".

The 23.9kV line coming into town and the step-down that has apparently long powered a 2400V circuit serving a portion of town.

A close view of the ancient GE fluted can. Definitely a museum piece!
I strongly suspect it's the same style as the one Mike Parker photographed many decades ago: www.ipernity.com/doc/ndlinegeek/48627488
