An appropriate picture to mark the start of my Ipernity journey after frustration with the "new" "shiny" Flickr.

First roll through my Belair X 6-12. Either I'm doing something wrong, or the camera is faulty, or it's just badly designed. Let's hope it's the former. This one actually works for me, bizarrely, in a moody kind of way. I suppose at least the handrail is in focus :) That implies the focusing is just not calibrated I guess, or I'd knocked it off infinity somehow.

Really annoyed about this one - couldn't quite get the angle to separate the bird's head from the far land line.. oh well. You get the idea, anyway. That's the Isle of Wight in the background and the water is the Solent.

This structure is stunning - a triple-spiral staircase 140ft high, running from the Western Heights down to the town. Well worth a visit - open the third sunday of every month. Three nested staircases allow troops to move more quickly from the top to the bottom than a single flight would. See the view from the top to get your head around the triple-spiral thing...

Another batch from the archive - I didn't do much with these Cornish ones at the time, it seems.

Fake infrared effect using Photoshop, on a tone-mapped image from Photomatix.. phew, too much processing!! Maybe I need to try Ilford SFX film.
