Naja, da sind schon auch reichlich EU-Gelder geflossen (im Vorfeld dieses "Europäische Kulturhauptstadt"-Projektes). Allerdings: gut angelegtes Geld - gerade die Investitionen in Klein- und Mittelstädte im Baltikum (generell ehem. Ostblock) sind ein regelrechter Energieschub für diese Regionen und ihre Bewohner. Letztlich gut für Europa als Ganzes, wenn von dort aus neue Ideen und Aufschwung zurückfließen.
