Nirgendwo sonst auf der Welt gibt es ein vergleichbares Turf-Spektakel, als beim Duhner Wattrennen in Cuxhaven, bei dem vor der imposanten Kulisse des Weltschifffahrtsweges nervige Traber und rassige Galopper im Wechsel auf nassem Geläuf um Platz und Sieg kämpfen. Es findet seit mehr als 100 Jahren einmal jährlich statt.

Harness racing is quite a spectacle, with all the colours and the tightly bunched fields, and it's even more spectacular on a beach. The 5 seems to have gone on the pace; that would explain the tight hold his driver has -- he needs to slow his horse down and get him back on the trot. I'm assuming it's a trotting race because it's Europe, and because the 3 horse wouldn't try trotting in a pacing race.
