I don't think I've posted this here before.

April in Toronto

16 Apr 2018 9 14 253
This was inspired by rdhinmn's photo "April in the Northern Latitudes" www.ipernity.com/doc/713381/46517914 However, since Toronto is nearer the Equator than the North Pole I couldn't use Bob's title, too. Something like half of Canadians live south of the 45th parallel but we think of ourselves as a Northern people because of like...this. This is not snow, by the way, but ice. Ice pellets fell on Saturday, then freezing rain yesterday.

Bay Street, Toronto. Re-edit of a photo posted on Flickr way back when. I like the big version (click the photo or type Z). Maybe a bit more red would help.

Canadian spring

13 May 2018 12 15 379
Ball hockey at Jimmie Simpson Park. Toronto. You know it's spring in Canada when they stop playing hockey on ice and start playing it on concrete. I forgot to look for the name(s) of the muralist(s). My apologies to them. The screen is less of a strain on the eyes in the large version (click the pic or type Z).

Victoria

Evening rush hour at Victoria Station, London, August 2012. This is a re-post, although it may not have appeared on ipernity before.. ==== And the photo in the note at top left is a cropped version.

Five years ago. Dundas rhymes with "spun glass", not "stunned us".
