A fair electric wires competition with Asia !

I hadn't thought of that, Léo, but you're certainly right. Thanks for pointing that out. Toronto would save itself money in the not so long run by burying the phone and hydro lines, but of course now it has no money to pay for the money-saving improvement. I gather Montreal is dragging its feet, too.

No chance of getting a shot around that area without overhead wires in it..!!

Bob got there before me.........I was also going to mention a giant spider's web.........but I won't now :-))

Even if they buried the electricity and phone lines, Keith, which they should, they'd still have the tram wires. Then again these wires are part of Toronto's retro charm. It's like a city from the 1940s.

I suppose that's part of the attraction for people, but I'm surprised that a place that can have such severe winters still has so much "stuff" like this above ground. Mind you, think of the expense to sort it all out..!!

The real expense is when the lines fall down after an ice storm. Not only is it expensive to get the wires back up and operating, but all sorts of business can't be done. But both Toronto and Montreal are dragging their feet.

I can imagine! Local authorities are the same the world over, I suspect!
