Feature: Debbie Gary, Aviatrix

Debbie Gary was in the 1970s the U.S. women's aerobatics champion. She flew a Bellanca Super Viking. Bellancas were, unjustly some say, famous for dry rot in the main spar, which is to say that under the right conditions it was thought the wings would break off. So she flew that plane to demonstrate that no, even under aerobatic loads the wings would stay where they were supposed to be. All of which I learned after our hop.
