Monday 22 April 2024 (1203) – Stagecoach East 27848 (AE13 DZU), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro 300D new in May 2013, seen negotiating the UK’s first ‘Dutch style roundabout’ in Cambridge when working cross city service 1 from Fulbourn to Arbury. The roundabout stands at the intersection of Queen Edith’s Way, Fendon Road and Mowbray Road. Construction began in September 2019 and the roundabout opened in July 2020. It was fairly quiet when I took this set of photographs but even though there was all this safety stuff in place with dedicated cycle lanes I had to have eyes in my bum cheeks when stood on the footpath as cyclists used the pedestrian (zebra) crossings and general footpaths rather than the cycle lanes.

Monday 22 April 2024 (1139) – The Trumpington Park & Ride site close to the M11 Motorway on the south-western side of Cambridge is served by dedicated Park & Ride services to the City Centre, Busway services via Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the city centre through to St. Ives and express coach services of National Express and Flixbus. Whippet Coaches Limited FX41 (OY23 CYP), a Neoplan N2216 Tourliner new in July 2023, was working Flixbus service N601 from Amsterdam (The Netherlands) to Leeds (UK). It had departed Amsterdam at 2250 the previous evening (Sunday 21 April 2024) and was due here at 1015, 1 hour 21 minutes behind schedule. Stagecoach East 86023 (BV23 NTE) and 86003 (BV23 NRF), both MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers are working Park & Ride service PR3 to the City Centre. 86003 was new in April and 86023 was new in May 2023. The green single decker is Stagecoach East 21311 (BV18 YCA), a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B8RLE new in March 2018 operating Busway service A to St. Ives. I travelled on this bus from here. Some of the other passengers had arrived on the Flixbus service.

Some of the other passengers had arrived on the Flixbus service.

Tuesday 16 April 2024 (1223) – Arriva The Shires 3013 (BJ12 YPY) took me by surprise on Thameside in Henley-on-Thames. The Angel on the Bridge pub was under repair and encased in scaffolding. It is a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 that was new to the TGM Group in July 2012.

Tuesday 16 April 2024 (1223) – Arriva The Shires 3013 (BJ12 YPY), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 that was new to the TGM Group in July 2012, seen on Thameside in Henley-on-Thames.

Tuesday 16 April 2024 (1259) – An Arriva The Shires Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 seen crossing the River Thames at Henley-on-Thames when working the 1200 service 850 from High Wycombe to Reading. The tracker on the Bus Times website showed the bus as 3008 (BJ12 YPT).

Monday 15 April 2024 (1320) – Arriva The Shires 5458 (SN58 EOE), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 bodied Trident new in December 2008, seen passing the Hand & Flowers pub in Marlow when working the 1210 service 850 from Reading to High Wycombe.
