Libertybus 2606 (J 122043) and 1158 (J 86063) at St. Aubin's - 9 Aug 2019 (P1030986)

Friday 9 August 2019 - Libertybus (CT Plus Jersey Limited), part of the London based HCT Group, began operating the public bus network on the island in January 2013 replacing Connex Transport Jersey Limited Limited. At its formation Libertybus placed 33 new Optare Solo single deckers, 6 new Alexander Dennis Enviro400D double deckers and 4 Fiat Ducato mini-buses in service as well as inheriting about 42 former Connex buses.

Left is Enviro400D 2606 (J 122043) and right is 1158 (J 86063), SC Coachbuilders (Caetano) Slimbus bodied Dennis Dart that had been new to Connex Transport Jersey Limited in April 2007. The Slimbus was a narrower variant of the Nimbus model. They were seen at St. Aubin’s.

Note the Public Vehicle Plates (PSV Char-a-Banc) carried on the vehicles. These are issued by the authorities and have no direct relationship to vehicle registration plates or operator fleet number. However, in some cases as with the double decker, there can be a loose form of number matching.
